Overview
Boldyn Networks (Boldyn), one of the largest neutral host and leading private networks providers in the world, expanded its market footprint through the acquisition of Apogee Networks (Apogee), the leading provider of on-campus connectivity infrastructure in the US Higher Education (HED) industry. To navigate this organisation shift, Teku was engaged to lead the technical integration of Boldyn’s Modern Workplace, Cloud, and Identity platforms.
The Challenge
Boldyn set out to rapidly integrate Apogee, now known as Boldyn Higher Education (HED), while minimising operational disruption and establishing a scalable foundation for future technology optimisation. To deliver on this objective, Teku mobilised a specialised team to identify key integration points and interdependencies.
This strategic move introduced a series of technical integration challenges, including a globally distributed delivery team spanning the US, UK, and Australia, with a critical need to maintain uninterrupted business operations. Teku worked with key stakeholders from Boldyn to align priorities, clarify objectives, and co-develop a phased integration roadmap that would deliver measurable outcomes.
Our Approach
Teku’s proven integration strategy focuses on expedited system unification. The initial phase prioritised the consolidation of identities, collaboration tools and end-user devices of the acquired business. More than 300 employees were seamlessly onboarded to Boldyn’s enterprise platforms.
The next phase focused on retiring legacy environments and optimising Boldyn’s technology landscape to support long-term efficiency and scalability. Software development capabilities were enhanced through the consolidation of code repositories, providing enterprise features and a strengthened security posture by standardising code management practices.
Outcome
The successful integration enabled Boldyn to meet critical deadlines while minimising impacts to business operations. By consolidating platforms, employees gained seamless access to shared tools and resources, enabling greater collaboration and productivity across the organisation. Despite an ambitious timeline, the integration was successfully delivered in six months – demonstrating the team’s agility and focus.
